I'm a certified hypnotherapist, and my goal is to help you overcome limiting beliefs, unwanted habits and behaviors, and empower you to feel how you want— whenever you want!

My journey to hypnotherapy
Even as a child, I was searching. I felt like something was missing, and I longed for a spiritual connection of some kind.
I was raised in a strict Christian home, and struggled between striving to follow all the rules of the church, and the inner pull toward the mystical.
I was very shy, insecure, and wanted to be anyone but me.
My inner turmoil and social anxiety got worse as I got older.
And then, I discovered alcohol.
Alcohol became my solution to the anxiety and negative thoughts about myself. And it worked for a while, but very quickly made everything worse.
I found myself in my 20's, involved in a toxic relationship, stripping for a living, and not able to function without alcohol, or a drug of some kind.
Even though I was deep in the trance of addiction and a fog of darkness— a part of me knew there had to be a better life for me than this.
I made the decision to change.
Carving a new path
It's not easy to shift gears from what you've been used to doing. And actually, it can feel like everything is against you when you try to change.
I relate it to driving in a rut. You've been driving down one road for so long, its become a deep groove. So when you try to get out of that rut and go in a different direction, it's a challenge. And it seems like the rut keeps trying to suck you back in.
Your determination has to be stronger than that rut.

I went to rehab in 2015, joined AA, and discovered the law of attraction. I worked tirelessly to "reprogram" my unhealthy thoughts, negative beliefs, and find new ways to cope with my emotions.
I, like so many of us, didn't know how to regulate my nervous system. It's usually not something our parents learned. We're told "There's nothing to cry about", or "You're fine, stop crying" and we're basically taught to stuff our emotions.
Then what happens?
Well, we have unexpressed emotions that have been stored in our body, sometimes even contributing to health issues. And instead of learning how to sooth ourselves in a healthy way, we turn to unhealthy habits and behaviors in an attempt to not feel those emotions.
I had to learn how to allow the emotions to release, and replace unhealthy coping habits with healthy alternatives that work quickly and effectively.

Everything changed
As I took responsibility for my life, learned how to regulate my nervous system, and change how I felt by what I focused on, my entire life transformed.
I was able to get off antidepressants, I gained a passion for life which I hadn't had since I was 7 years old, I became self-employed, started a manifesting group with my sister, and became a hypnotherapist.
I think its important to share my story to show that it doesn't matter how deep the patterns are, or how hopeless things might seem, YOU CAN CHANGE.
I was addicted to all sorts of unhealthy behaviors, thoughts, and yes, even negative feelings can be addicting.
And yet, behind every behavior is a positive intention.

Credentials
I attended Hypnosis Motivational Institute for my Master Hypnotist Degree and became certified through the American Hypnosis Association.
I am also a member of the American Hypnosis Association with continuing education and yearly certification requirements.
