Losing weight and eating a healthy diet can be incredibly challenging. Especially when you walk into any grocery store and you're greeted by an array of tempting breads, pastries, and processed food.
Not to mention that our bodies are biologically wired to crave fats and carbs because, historically, these foods were scarce and provided the energy and fat reserves necessary for survival. This is why our dopamine pathways light up in response to these foods, signaling pleasure and reward.
However, modern diets are overloaded with sugars and processed foods, leading to a host of health issues, including obesity, diabetes, heart disease, allergies, autoimmune issues and so much more.
While I am not a dietitian and always recommend consulting with a nutrition professional, I have found that diets high in protein and vegetables, and low in processed foods and sugar, can create the ideal conditions for weight loss, resetting your dopamine, increasing energy levels, enhancing satiety, and even promoting natural healing within your body.
